The DIY Daze... are finally over.

Finally. Finally.

After four weeks of solid work and very little change of clothes, the house has finally been DIY done.

Late nights, early mornings and countless man hours have contributed to a unique sight - a tidy house!

Many, many thanks must go to our parents for their Herculean efforts. How we would have coped without their skills, perseverance and selfless commitment is thankfully not ours to experience.

Thanks also to Rick for his dedication to tiling. By the way, Rick, we love the bathroom flower!

There are others, and they are greatly appreciated.

Sent off by various friends of Phileas and our own echoing voices, the door has shut and the memories trapped for a year. We felt a strange sense of realism a we left the city; a highlighted context of why we'd spent months improving and preparing our home for someone else to live in! And impending journey.

6 days to go. Time for a rest with family. A shower and a lie in too - awesome!!
